IPPUDO Ramen Comes to Pacific Place07 October 14
Exciting news for ramen connoisseurs, the most renowned Japanese dining restaurant is now open in Jakarta to serve its signature ramen.
Jakarta, 30 September 2014 – Internationally-acclaimed Japanese eatery IPPUDO brings the ultimate ramen experience to Indonesia with the opening of its first outlet at luxury shopping center, Pacific Place, Jakarta.
With over 80 stores in Japan, and over 40 international stores in places such as New York, Sydney, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei, Seoul, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, Chengdu, Bangkok and Manila, IPPUDO (pronounced ih-PU-doh) has gained a worldwide following with customers patiently queuing for a taste of what many have dubbed “cosmos in a bowl”: a signature rich and flavorful tonkotsu (pork-based) broth combined with delicate home-made noodles made from a secret recipe.
The IPPUDO empire was founded in 1985 in Japan’s ramen capital of Hakata (Fukuoka City) by Shigemi Kawahara. Crowned the Ramen King in 2005, Kawahara holds a place in the Ramen Hall of Fame after winning the championship three consecutive times on a reputable TV show ramen competition. In an interview, he told the reporter, “I strongly desire that through a humble bowl of ramen, the Japanese spirit can be spread around the world.”

The elegant yet cozy restaurant, located on the fifth floor of the luxurious shopping center in the upscale Jakarta Business District, is set to serve the true ramen lovers. The 66-seater restaurant’s dynamic ambience and hospitable service will give you a wonderful experience of authentic Japanese ramen.
